Advancing Faculty Diversity Awards

The University of California's Advancing Faculty Diversity (AFD) Program is a grant program that supports two different types of projects:  1) recruitment projects that aim to result in more diverse faculty hiring, and 2) improved climate and retention projects that aim to develop equity-oriented interventions and research that leads to improved workplace climate and retention outcomes.  UCR was awarded four different ADF grants in the 2021-22 program, with two being recruitment proposals and two being climate and retention proposals.
