UAW BR BX Transitional Position Program
The Transitional Position Program is designed to assist GSRs in a PI-funded appointment who are seeking a new transitional position subject to all terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement.
Program Eligibility
Good Employment Standing
Must be in good employment standing, including conduct and performance.
Employment Dependency
Must depend on their Principal Investigator for employment.
Minimum Appointment
Must have been with their Principal Investigator for at least three quarters.
Qualifying Circumstance
The graduate student employee must make a clear argument, corroborated by the department, that there is an irreparable employment-related conflict in the supervisor/supervisee relationship and that the supervisor relationship is beyond repair for reasons outside of the graduate student employee's control, or that the graduate student employee's PI left the University.
No Previous Transitional Position
Must not have previously received a transitional position.
