Re: Announcement of UCR Academy of Distinguished Teachers
The newly formed Academy of Distinguished Teaching has selected six new members. Criteria for selection include sustained excellence in teaching and a demonstrated commitment to teaching in and out of the classroom. Those selected must be previous recipients of the UCR Academic Senate Distinguished Teaching Award, or have exhibited evidence of an equivalent achievement in teaching. Those chosen, again by unanimous consent, were:
Professor Richard Cardullo

Distinguished Professor Robin DiMatteo
Department of Psychology
Professor Neal Schiller
Division of Biomedical Sciences
Professor Ameae Walker
Division of Biomedical Sciences
Professor Yenna Wu
Department of Comparative Literature & Foreign Languages
Professor Marylynn Yates

Our congratulations and thanks go each of these highly deserving individuals. They will be recognized at next week's commencement ceremony. Please join us in celebrating their important contributions to our teaching mission.
