Distinguished Teaching Award
Purpose: To recognize exceptional effort and achievement in teaching by a UCR faculty member.
- Academic Qualification: Ladder-rank UCR Faculty member
- Awarded by: EVC/Provost
- Recommended by: Academic Senate Committee
- Compensation: Compensation: $5,000 upon receipt of award
- Number of annual awards: Maximum of 2 per year
Innovative Teaching Award
Purpose: To recognize exceptional effort and achievement in teaching innovation by a UCR faculty member.
- Academic Qualification: Ladder-rank UCR Faculty member
- Awarded by: EVC/Provost
- Recommended by: UCR Academy of Distinguished Teachers
- Duration: length of UCR faculty appointment
- Compensation: $5,000 upon receipt of award
- Number of annual awards: Maximum of 2 per year
Non-Senate Distinguished Teaching Award
The Chancellor's Advisory Committee on Non-Senate Academic Affairs solicits nominations for a Distinguished Teacher award. Any Non-Senate member who has made exceptional contributions to teaching is eligible. Please click here for previous award recipients.
COLLEGE AWARDS
College of Humanities , Arts, and Social Sciences - CHASS
- McCauley Chair in Teaching Excellence – The McCauley Chair provides workshops for college faculty on various teaching issues, mentors at least two assistant professors nominated by department chairs each year, and provides teaching consultation to individual college faculty. - The CHASS Executive Committee and the faculty of the college have instituted two annual teaching awards: one for a junior and one for a senior ladder faculty (members of the Academic Senate). This award was designed to recognize the dedication and expertise of their faculty and the college's commitment to excellence in teaching.

UC WIDE AWARDS
University Professor
The title University Professor is reserved for scholars of the highest international distinction who are recognized and respected as teachers of exceptional ability. University Professors are expected to share their talents throughout the University; for example, by visiting other UC campuses for formal and informal seminars and meeting with faculty and students.
